This plant will tolerate some drought and some salt and will grow in dry soil.
Suitable in well-drained/loamy, sandy or clay with pH preference of acidic to slightly alkaline (less than 6.8 to 7.7) soil. The leaf color will be green and purple with a fall color of an attractive copper and purple. Best in partial shade or partial sun to full sun and is a semi-evergreen. Lavender blooms cover it spring through fall and are fragrant and showy.
