Catawba Crepe Myrtle

Catawba has a globose medium habit with dark green foliage and abundant compact inflorescences of dark purple florets. It is mildew resistant and will flower late july through September. Boasts a reddish fall leaf color. Crepe Myrtles tolerate some drought and a little salt and will grow in dry soil. Suitable soil is well-drained/loamy, sandy or clay. The pH preference is an acidic to slightly alkaline (less than 6.8 to 7.7) soil.
