Hosta
Hosta
Hostas are very hardy and easy to grow. They are shallow rooted so do well planted around trees and along foundations. They also make great borders and make beautiful additions to any shade garden. There are many different sizes, shapes, textures and colors to choose from when deciding on a hosta. Leaves can be long thin, small and round, large and wide, straight or ruffled, cupped or flat. They can be green or blue or lime, variegated with white and green or yellow and green. They also produce tall flower stalks in the summer that pollinators love.
